Product Structure

The belt filter press consists of a main machine, a main machine frame, a bearing seat, and a filter screen. The main body is made of stainless steel, including the main dewatering roller, waterproof cover, nozzle, water receiving trough, fender, etc.

[How does the belt press work?]
The dehydration process of the belt filter press includes four stages: pretreatment, gravity dehydration, wedge-shaped zone pre-pressure dehydration, and pressing dehydration. Among them, the latter two stages are the stages where mechanical pressure plays a role.

1. Pretreatment (sludge flocculation)
Before filter pressing dehydration, the sludge is subjected to physical and chemical treatment of sludge flocculation to improve the dehydration of the sludge.

2. Gravity dehydration (removal of free water)
The sludge enters the filter screen through the cloth hopper and moves forward with the filter belt. After passing through the gravity-free dehydration zone, the free water is removed through the flocculent filter belt. At this stage, most of the free water in the sludge is removed, the sludge fluidity is reduced, and the sludge's ability to withstand pressing is enhanced.

3. Wedge-shaped zone pre-pressure dehydration (low/medium pressure dehydration)
The interval between the upper and lower filter belts is reduced, the upper and lower filter belts squeeze the sludge, the filtrate begins to overflow from both sides of the filter belt, and as the filter belt runs, the pressure gradually increases. The extrusion stability of the flocculent group is gradually enhanced.

4. Squeezing dehydration (high-pressure dehydration)
When the sludge enters the high-pressure dehydration zone, the diameter of the roller is reduced to maximize the pressure on the sludge. After being squeezed by the clamping rod, the intermittent free water in the sludge is squeezed out to form a filter cake with a high solid content. The filter cake is brought into the filter belt head and unloaded into the discharge chute by the scraper.
